The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Ultra-Thin is one of the rarest 'regular production' from the modern era, with numbers capped at a hard limit due to the number of movements available to the manufacture.

The lacquered grey dial removes the date window for a truly minimalist aesthetic, keeping the focus entirely on the proportions of the watch. This also has the side effect of reducing the thickness of the movement, and therefore the watch itself.

While it's ostensibly an ultra thin watch, the 2000V has a notable presence on the wrist from the white gold case and bracelet construction. At 7.5mm thick, it doesn't even come near any thinness records (currently held by Bulgari, at under 2mm), but this watch simply isn't about challenging records. Rather, it represents the confluence of design and watchmaking, creating an end product that can only be described as 'grail material'.
