This watch is in excellent condition, with only light marks on the case. The watch has been regulated by our watchmaker, but we would recommend a full service to further improve timekeeping.
Includes extract from Vacheron dating the watch to 1995.
Vacheron Constantin's ref. 47101 is one of the many instantly-recognisable neo-vintage icons from the brand's lineup of watches. A classically designed chronograph through and through, it has an unmistakeable profile from its teardrop lugs and elegant two-register layout. Made only in precious metal, it uses the cal. 1140, which is a version of the Nouvelle Lemania 2310 base movement (also used in the Patek Philippe 5070).
Interestingly, Vacheron Constantin had been using the 'Historiques' name to describe watches from its collection even during the 1980s, when watches we consider 'neo-vintage' were coming off the production line.
VACHERON CONSTANTIN
As the oldest brand from the 'Holy Trinity', Vacheron Constantin has a deserved reputation as one of the finest watchmakers still in operation. The company's repertoire is extremely broad, covering everything from sports watches and dress watches all the way to its famed 'Les Cabinotiers' atelier, which specialises in combining the manufacture's most modern horological advances with centuries of artistic and decorative experience to produce watches that are, simply put, works of art.
