This watch is in excellent condition. There are some light marks throughout the watch which are appropriate for its age.
The watch is not water resistant.
The modern Rolex Turn-O-Graph is essentially a Datejust with a timing bezel. While a simple change, it undoubtedly changes the watch's aesthetic and gives it a substantially more sporty feel. It was historically the first Rolex watch with a rotating bezel, being released shortly before the Submariner came to market. In the 1950s, the US Air Force's Thunderbird display squadron issued pilots with Turn-O-Graphs, leading to the nickname sticking with the reference.
Though it was discontinued in 2011, the watch is still a special watch to Rolex lovers as the very first watch with a rotating bezel.
ROLEX
Known by many simply as "the Crown", Rolex has certainly done much to deserve its reputation. From its founding just over a century ago by a German immigrant in the UK, Rolex has grown to become an international behemoth, recognisable (and indeed visible) across the globe.
Compared to other modern watchmakers, Rolex is in the near-unique position where its vintage watches have developed an almost entirely distinct collector base. It's no surprise, however, given the diversity and iconic status of so many Rolex models. The vintage Rolex community has arguably brought vintage watch collecting into the mainstream by shedding light on the beauty of old, worn watches which had so long been ignored by most.
