Although the Constellation line had existed in various forms since 1952, it was only in 1982 with the launch of the Constellation Manhattan that the current overarching design was solidified. Distinguishable from its earlier iterations by the four 'claws' overhanging the bezel from both sides of the case, the new design was a radical departure from the original Constellation. With its sleek rounded surfaces, integrated bracelet, and two-tone colour scheme, the watch was clearly a product of the 1980s. Another hint at its origins is that it came equipped only with quartz movements until 1984.
Remarkably little has changed since this refresh of the Constellation line. Today's models feature both quartz and mechanical movements, but still boast the clean lines and same combination of the futuristic and retro which made the original relaunch so successful.
This watch is in excellent condition, with only light scratches on the case and bracelet.
Comes with inner and outer Omega box set, booklet, card holder, pictograms, hang tag and original UK guarantee card.
OMEGA
Omega is in the unique position of being perhaps the most versatile out of all the watchmakers currently still in operation. Its product lineup includes dive watches, automatic and manual chronographs, as well haute joaillerie works of art. The brand has even demonstrated its high-end watchmaking capabilities by creating complications such as the tourbillon.
Omega's story goes further than just its watches, however. The brand has had a long and rich history of being called upon in times of need, and has sold watches to everyone from the British Royal Flying Corps during the First World War to NASA during the Space Race. More recently, Omega has been known as the exclusive supplier of watches to James Bond.
