This watch is in excellent condition for its age, with some light wear to the case. The case itself still retains fairly sharp bevels. The dial and hands have signs of light ageing and patina.

There is no guarantee for water resistance on this watch. The gasket has been replaced, but it has still failed our water resistance tests.

This Jaeger-LeCoultre has a rather curious name, owing to it being advertised differently in Europe and the US. Known as the 'Shark Deep Sea' in the US and the 'Vogue Chronograph' in Europe, these were in reality the exact same watch. It was very large for its time at 40mm, and had a interchangeable bezel system which included a diver's bezel, telemeter, or a world time bezel. It also featured a screwed caseback, as it was originally designed to be worn by divers.

Jaeger-LeCoultre, also known as JLC, has a rightfully-deserved reputation as the "watchmaker's watchmaker". This stems from the fact that in its over 180 years of existence, the company has over 1,200 movements and 400 patents to its name. Even today, many watches still utilise JLC base movements, including the Audemars Piguet 15202.

This watchmaking expertise doesn't mean that the company is limited to making movements for others, however. The brand has also released its fair share of iconic watches, including the Reverso and Memovox.
