First released in 1968, the Heuer Skipper features a chronograph that would count down, rather than up. This was designed for yacht timing, and utilises an appropriately nautical colour scheme.
This particular variant, with the round Compressor Autavia case (from the ref. 7763), was only produced from 1969 to 1972, when they were replaced by the tonneau-shaped 'C' cases.
This watch is in excellent condition for its age, with only light marks on the case and caseback. The dial is clean apart from a mark at 8 o'clock, and the bezel is slightly loose and has some scratches and dings as shown in the photos.
The watch is presented on a Subdial suede strap. A TAG Heuer strap with the vintage-style buckle is also included.
Comes with a Tag Heuer service warranty card from 2011.
