The Tank Louis is Cartier's definitive silhouette. Inspired by and named after the fighting vehicle that terrified soldiers in the trenches of the First World War, its case and lugs resemble the top down view of the earliest tank designs.

It's no ordinary military watch, however. Rather than modern manufacturers' love for stealthy aesthetics and matte textures, Cartier's military-inspired watch is thin, formal, and made from precious metal.
