Breitling's iconic Navitimer might just be the most recognisable pilots watch on the market. Its name, a portmanteau of 'navigation' and 'timer', points squarely to its intended use as a pilot's tool. First released to the public in 1954, it was produced with a plethora of dial variations. While many had the 'Navitimer' text, some were signed with 'Geneve' or 'Cosmonaute' writing.
This is a modern re-edition of the watch, combining vintage aesthetics with contemporary engineering and construction.
This watch is in excellent condition, with some light scratches on the caseback. The rest of the watch is in excellent condition.
Comes in original box with documents.
LTD Ed: One of 1959
BREITLING
Originally founded in 1884, Breitling was a pioneer in chronograph watches. The company's first chronograph wristwatch was created in 1915, although the most significant development was the separation of the start and stop functions from the reset pusher. This meant that a user could stop the chronograph and continue it later without having to reset the function.
Breitling today is best known for its dependable watches, built with everyday use in mind. While other watchmakers may chase slimness or complications, Breitling mostly creates watches to be worn without fuss.
